Miss India emerges winner at the 2017 Miss World pageant

20-year old Manushi Chhillar, the Indian representative to Miss World pageant, was today crowned as the 2017 Miss World at the classic event that held in Sanya City Arena, China.

The last Indian queen to win the Miss World pageant was Priyanka Chopra in 2010. Manushi is the 6th Indian queen to win the beauty pageant. She is a 20-year-old medical student and beat 117 other Contestants at the event.

Miss World 2017 was the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant. 118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown before Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico crowned her successor.

The top 5 finalist of Miss World 2017 were; England, India, France, Kenya and Mexico. Miss Mexico was named the first runner-up while Miss England was 2nd runner up…
