In what analysts said may be a dress rehearsal for Nigeria’s performance in next year’s Russia World Cup, the Super Eagles stunned football superpowers Argentina 4-2 in an international friendly played in Russia.

The Super Eagles came from 0-2 deficit to hand over a memorable defeat to the Messi-less Argentines.
Kelechi scored the 1st goal just before the first half break reducing the deficit.
The Eagles came back in the second half more determined and put three goals behind the Argentine goalpost.
Iwobi scored the 2nd and 4th goals in the 52nd and 73minute, the second via a well placed pass by Ahmed Musa, who came in for Kelechi.
Brian Idowu scored Nigeria’s 3rd goal in the 54th minute.
