Benue: Suspected herdsmen kill six persons in fresh attack
Few days after 20 persons were killed in an attack by suspected herdsmen in Guma and Logo local government areas of Benue state, another attack carried out in the early hours of today, January 6th, has left no fewer than 6 persons dead.
According to reports, the fresh attack took place at a settlement called Tse-Kimbir in Logo local government area of the state.
A resident of the community, Prince Cephas Hough, told the Nation that the herdsmen, armed with AK 47 rifles, stormed their homes very early in the morning and went from house to house robbing the people of their valuables before shooting six dead.
Those killed in the attack were identified as Kwaghve Baaki, Terhemen Kwaghve, Ioryue Tsehemba,Zahemen Tsavkuleve, Ahemba Shaku and a visitor who reportedly came from Nongov, in Guma local government area of the state.
