At least 50 feared dead after suicide bombing at mosque in Adamawa
At least 50 people are feared dead after a suicide bombing at a mosque in northeastern Nigeria, police have said.
The sad incident took on Tuesday morning in Adamawa state when teenage suicide bomber detonated the device as people were gathering for morning prayers.
Police spokesman Othman Abubakar said the man detonated his explosives while mingling among the worshippers. While there was no immediate claim of responsibility, suspicion immediately fell on Boko Haram as the Islamic extremist group has been linked to scores of similar attacks.
